Steven V. Bainer “Stevie” of Fayetteville, WV reunited with many family members and loved ones on February 29, 2020.
Stevie was born September 7, 1977 in Tacoma Park, MD. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1995. He became employed with Nelson Brothers and worked there many years as Head Blaster of a blasting crew, followed by employment with WV Alloys.
After learning how to fish at the age of 3, Stevie spent his life trout fishing and bass fishing. He won many cash prizes in bass tournaments.
In his younger years he loved spending time with the Dial family at the hunting camps, camping at Brookside, his years being a camper/counselor at 4-H camp and the many hours spent on the creek bank at Beckwith.
Some of his best times were spent at family get togethers fishing and hunting with family members and bear hunting with his buddies.
What he loved more than anything in the world and was most proud of were his two beautiful daughters Kaitlin and Allison. They were the love of his life. He loved taking them to the beach, camping, fishing, playing softball, coon hunting, bear hunting, big bonfires and making them laugh until they cried.
Stevie was so good and kind to all the kids in the family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Left to cherish his memories include his beautiful daughters Kaitlin Elizabeth Bainer of Morgantown, WV and Allison Nicole Bainer of
Fayetteville WV, parents Steve and Karen Bainer of Fayetteville, WV, sister Cheryl Wood of Fayetteville, WV, nephew and niece Van and Ava Wood of Fayetteville, WV and Poppaw Robert Hanshew of Danese, WV. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will miss him so very much.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 8 in the chapel of High Lawn Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Mack Canterbury officiating.
Friends may call from 1:00 pm until time of service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Raleigh General Hospital ER, 2 South, Stepdown Respiratory and Cath Lab for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Stevie while he was hospitalized.
