Shawn Thomas Comer, (Shawner, or Shawn Shawn) was born on April 30th, 2004 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Created by his mother, Tracie St.Clair, and father, Jerome Comer. He was the middle son. On the evening of May 16th, 2021 at only 17, he passed away. He was a healthy, handsome, growing young man. This was an unexpected tragedy to us all. But he fought hard. Shawn was one of the toughest boys you would ever meet. He left behind not only his parents, but two brothers, Jerome and Justin. A sister named Keneisha, his stepdad Garvey, and many more family and friends who were able to love him while we could. Shawn was never big on school, but he knew everything under the sun especially if it involved getting down and dirty. He could fix anything from your four-wheeler to the Xbox and he would argue with you if you thought he could not. Man was he stubborn. Shawn fought for whatever he thought was right (like the pedestrians having the right of way!) and would work to get what he wanted. He would go toe to toe with anyone for himself or his family. His heart was so big. His love so genuine. Shawn loved his rap music. He had an ear for music and loved to show us the new artists. Blasting his songs whenever and wherever as he walked around. His favorite brands were Adidas and Under Armor. You would rarely catch him wearing anything but joggers and slides. Shawn was a laid-back young man, A great friend, a son, and a brother! His memory will forever be instilled in all our hearts and may his legacy live on forever! Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sam Calloway officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
