Roger Dale Ward age 62 went to be with the lord on April 7, 2020. Two days shy of his 63rd birthday.
Born April 9, 1957 in Cleveland Ohio, he was the son of Julian and Margaret Ruff Ward.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and two brothers Julian “Jabo” Ward and Kenneth “Yogi” Ward.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 43 years Carla Ward of Oak Hill, daughters Heather (Tim) Naylor of Fayetteville, Angela (Joe) Young of Oak Hill, Lana (Mike) Cole of Hico. Grandchildren Colton and Lincoln Naylor, Bobby and Brandon LeFrancois, Brody, Blayne and A’lijah Young, Alexis, Chloe and Mikey Cole. Bothers Gene (MaryAnn) Ward of Oak Hill, Jimmy (Georgine) Ward of Salem Virginia, Ricky (Pat) Ward of Oak Hill and Jesse (Debbie) Ward of Oak Hill. Sisters Lana Elder Coleman of Oak Hill, Cathy Hayes of Oak Hill and Patty (JR) Posey of Beckley and a host of nieces and nephews.
Dale was a great man that loved his family with his whole heart. He worked hard to make sure they had everything they needed.
Dale loved to have all his family together. Any time that he could get everyone over to his house for any reason he would. Everyone was always welcome.
He was so proud of all his grandkids and would brag about them to anyone who would listen.
He would tell the same stories and jokes over and over.
He loved do go on cruises, to Tennessee and family vacations.
He was proud of the fact that he started going to church at The Hilltop Family Worship Center on his birthday April 9, 2018 and was baptized on that following Easter Sunday with all his family with him.
He loved going to church. He became good friends with the Pastor Terry Damron. He and Terry did a lot of things together including driving out of state to get fresh vegetables.
Dale is loved and is going to be missed by so many.
