Michael Lee Kelly, 27, of Gatewood, WV, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at home. Michael was born February 15, 1994, in Beckley, WV, to William Kelly and Lesa Burgess. Michael was a cook at Wendy’s in Fayetteville, WV. He loved to fish, hunt and camp but most of all he loved spending time with his three children.
Michael is preceded in death by his adoptive mother Georgia Kelly; brothers David Smith and Jessie Kelly; sister Lisa Smith; paternal grandparents Beulah and Jess Kelly and maternal grandparents Clara and Elize Cody; best friend Mark Adkins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, William Kelly; adoptive father Jess Kelly; fiancé Evelyn Adkins; children Grayson Adkins, Charlotte Kelly, and Brianna Kelly all of Gatewood, WV; brother Brandon Kelly of Cunard, WV; sister Ashley Jenkins and husband Christopher Jenkins of Sophia, WV; first cousin Morgan Smith of Fayetteville, WV; niece McKenzie Jenkins of Sophia, WV; nephews Dustin Jenkins, Nathan Jenkins, Jayden Raynes and Brently Acord of Sophia, WV.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at High Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Bobbie Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Bibb Cemetery.
Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
