Obituary for Melinda Louise Angius

Melinda Louise Angius, 64 of Oak Hill, WV passed away Sunday May 30, 2021 at her home. She was born December 16, 1956 in Oak Hill to Arnold and Anne Barton.

Melinda, a life-long member of Jones Ave. Church of God, was also a member of the Collins High School marching band playing clarinet. Her musical talents included being a superb pianist who also taught piano.

She was a soccer mom, loved to cook and bake and always made chili for the soccer league concession stand. Melinda being well known for her culinary skills, started her career with the Kroger Co. then went on to work in the eateries of K-Mart, K & W Cafeteria, and Bob Evans before finishing her career at Lowes of Fayetteville, WV.

In addition to her parents Melinda was preceded in death by her daughter Stacey Leanne Angius and brother Garry Barton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son Derek Angius of Fayetteville, three grandchildren Jace, Talya and Landon Angius; cousins Marsha Moore and husband Patrick, Shelia Natale, Martha Siliris, all of WV, Sherry Andre and husband Jack of Arizona as well as many other cousins. Life-long friends of 27 years, Gregory DeHart and Kyle Tennant were her angels that cared for her in her final years along with friend and homemaker Doris Eastman from Central WV Aging Service.

In keeping with Melinda’s wishes she will be cremated and a Celebration of Her Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday June 5th at her residence in Oak Hill with Pat Franklin of Jones Ave. Church of God officiating.
