Obituary for Marian Crockett Cox

Mrs. Marian Crockett Cox passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at Hidden Valley Nursing Home following a long illness. She was 82 years of age.
Born November 15, 1937, in Mt. Hope, WV, Marian was the daughter of the late William Harry and Nannie Barberie Crockett.
Following a career path in Hospital Logistics which resulted in moves to various states including: New York, Texas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and even overseas in Saudi Arabia, Marian returned to the Oak Hill area where she worked with the Fayette County Commission on Aging.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Cox, a sister Doris C. Mills, and a brother James H. Crockett.
Marian is survived by nieces Alice C. Conkle and her husband Milton; Laura J. Crockett; Connie C. LaCourse and her huband James; Elizabeth C. Morrisette and her husband Thomas all of Richmond, VA; Carolyn M. Hamilton and her husband Scott of Beckley; nephew Paul T. Mills and his wife Jacqueline, of Memphis, TN; and a cousin, Janet Lindsey and her husband Richard of Bluefield, VA.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the excellent care Marian received from the staff at Mary’s Garden (Hidden Valley Nursing Home) where she was a resident for two years.
A graveside service will be held at High Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Hicks officiating.
