Obituary for Louise W. Warden

Louise W. Warden, 93, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. A strong but gracious lady, she was born in Wyco, WV the daughter of the late John C. Winkler, Sr. and Latha May Rhodes Winkler.
Louise graduated from Mullens High School, Class of 1946, then started work with the C & P Telephone Company as a switchboard operator and was an administrative assistant at the time of her retirement. She was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church, the 3-F Group, and the Telephone Pioneers.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Glen W. Warden, an infant child Paul Douglas Warden and her siblings John C. Winkler Jr., Marion Jeanette Wingo and Nancy Ann Wingert.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Glen Carter (Barbara) Warden, daughters Sherry Lynn (David) Martin and Bobbi Gale Warden; grandsons Doug Fitzgerald, Scott (Missy) Warden, and Jason (Shannon) Warden; great grandchildren Ethan (Kylie) Warden, Lauren (Jason) Schnackenberg, Gabe Warden and Ainsley Warden, step granddaughter Dawn (Danny) Smith, step great grandchildren Mercedes (Will) Redden and children Attoli and Ashton, Krystal (Zach) Harrah and children Ray and Leslie; sister Carol Sue (Danny) Lilly, sister-in-law Marylane (Robert) Sandy, and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Pat and Wayne Wriston, Elizabeth and Frank Carmen, Dr. Ryan Newell and the staff at Fayette Clinic, nieces Teresa Wandell, Dinah Lefler, Renee Cangemi, neighbor Paula Prostrollo, grandson Doug Fitzgerald and the Bowers Hospice House staff.
Funeral Services will be conducted at High Lawn Funeral Home in Oak Hill, on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12:00 noon with grandson Pastor Jason Warden officiating.
Friends may visit with family one hour prior to services.
