Obituary for Linda Lee Tincher

Linda Lee Tincher, age 77 of Summersville, WV, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Summersville Hospital. Linda was born on May 7, 1945, in Summerlee, WV to Wallace and Mertice Amick. She was a retired licensed practical nurse.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; Wallace and Mertice Amick, her sisters; Arlene Guice and Marvella Lawhorn, her brother; Wallace Amick Jr., and her son; Douglas Akers.

Linda attended Mountain View Church in Canvas, WV. She loved gardening, birdwatching, and playing cards with her family. She was a woman of strong faith and loved her family fiercely.

Linda is survived by her adoring husband, David Tincher. Those also left to cherish her memory include her children; Allen Akers (Luisa), Karen Peters (Darryl), Jon Akers (Brigitte), daughter-in-law; Vaune Akers, step-daughters; Gina Tincher and Desiree Balconi, grandchildren, Brittany Dickerhoff (Robbie), Marilynn, Nathaniel, Gabriel, Rachel, Adam (Mercedes), Tyler (Erika), and Corey Akers, Matthew (Camille) and Luke Peters, Emily Smith (Aaron), Kodi Hartley (Clay), Maiya Lee (Peter), and Marja Balconi, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Kelvin Amick, Dreama Flint, Sheila Kyle, Timothy Amick, and Marlene Lamonica, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at High Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Miller officiating.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
