Obituary for Leondies "Lee" Payne

Leondies “Lee” Payne, 77 of Fayetteville, passed Tuesday November 10, 2020 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill following a sudden illness.
Born December 1, 1942 in Bradshaw, WV he was the son of the late Frank and Sylvia Mullins Payne.
Lee was a retired electrician and had worked for several local coal companies and was a member of the UMWA. Lee was a member of the First Church of God in Fayetteville, WV and enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved working in his garden.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye DeCiantis and father and mother-in-law, Leon and Gladys Nunley.
Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years, Judy Nunley Payne; daughter, Kimberly Nugen and husband Alan of Fayetteville, WV; grandson, Logan Nugen and wife Brianna of Fayetteville, WV; brother, Robert Payne and wife Regina of Man, WV; sister, Mary Lou Pruitt of Princeton, WV; sister-in-law, Mary Eva Wade and husband Robert of Fayetteville, WV. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday November 13, 2020 at the First Church of God in Fayetteville with Pastor Danny Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time of Friday at the church.
Pallbearers will be; Robert, Robert, Jr. and Adam Long, Alan and Logan Nugen and Monty Price.
