Obituary for Kathy Jean Silva (Burton)
Kathy Jean Burton Silva, 62, of Morrisvale, WV, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, October 4, 2021. Kathy was born on May 30, 1959 in Rosewood, California to Allen Burton and the late Frances Robles Price. She was a graduate of Scott High School. Kathy graduated from Charleston School of Beauty Culture where she earned her Nail Technology certification. She worked for several years as a nail tech at Main Attraction in Madison.
Kathy loved her whole family more than anything, she enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, canning, going to church, traveling, taking road trips, helping others in need and online card games to past the time. She organized and lead many fundraising American Cancer walks in Boone County over the years.
She is predeceased by her mother Frances Robles Price.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 26 years, Bruce Allen Silva of Morrisvale; her two children Timothy “TJ” Hall of Ottawa and Amanda “Amy” Hall McClure (Robbie Lambert) of Oak Hill, WV; step-children Denise Ann Silva ( Wilfredo Purselley) of Chandlersville, OH, Josh Silva ( Joni) of Woodsville, OH; 14 grandchildren Jade McClure (Colten Reese) of Oak Hill, WV, Noah Hall and Selena Hall of Ripley, WV, Sonya and Haley Merideth, Lilyana, Sofia, Kyas and Brieya Purselley, Chandlersville, OH and Zoey McGarry, Caedyn and Lexie Silva of Woodsville, OH; three sisters Carla (Scottie) Queen of Ottawa, WV, Frances (Roger) Casto of Lake, WV, Gay Marie Price (Scottie Adkins) of Ottawa, WV; four brothers Ray Burton of Ottawa, WV, Jesse Ray Price of Ottawa, WV, David (Heather) Price of Ottawa, WV, Edward Price (Erica Laws) of Ottawa, WV; nieces and nephews Jon “Jon Jon” and Zac Casto, Breanna Jeffery, EllaRae and Joscelyn Price, Lexie Price, Allison Butcher, Elliana Price, Hannah and Elijah Duty, Jace Collins, Kim Ball, Chris Adkins, Caston and Kirk Burton.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Fountain Of Life Worship Center 301 Daniel Boone Parkway, Foster, WV, with Pastor Ginger Dials officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park.
Friends may call on the family from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
The church will be open at 10:00 AM for flower delivers. Please have flowers sent to the church.
