Obituary for Jane Madeline Toney
Jane Madline Toney, 83, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Plateau Medical Center. Jane was born on July 18, 1939 in Sanger, WV, to the late John Seaman and Fern Seaman, her paternal grandparents Ernest Seaman and Mary Jane Seaman (Grammy).
Jane was a long-time member of the Beckwith Apostolic Church. She worked as a bookkeeper and retired from BB&T. Jane was in the class of 1958 at Collins High School. She loved reading her bible, attending church and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her husband Earl Robert Toney Sr., son Earl (J.R.) Robert Toney Jr., brothers Ernest Seaman and John Seaman, sisters Lynn Bedford and Karen Laddy.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters Mary Jayne Stover and her husband James of Oak Hill, Robin Eads and her husband Sam of Oak Hill, daughter-in-law Melinda Toney, grandchildren James Stover II, John Stover, Samuel Eads, Silas Eads, Seth Toney, Levi Toney, Abigail Toney, Caleb Toney and his fiancé Candace Painter all of Oak Hill, one great grandson Carter Toney of Oak Hill, one sister Myrna Toney of FL, very special nieces and nephew Rhonda Handwerk, Roy Toney and Kay Bigalow, special family in her life, James and Betty Armstrong and family of Oak Hill, Lynn Fernandez and family of Oak Hill, Diane and Lorenzo Zapata of Louisiana, a host of other nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends to numerous to mention all by name.
Pallbearers will be Seth Toney, Levi Toney, Caleb Toney, Samuel Eads, Silas Eads and Franklin Runion.
Visitation will be held from 12:00PM to 1:00PM on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Beckwith Apostolic Church in Beckwith, WV.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Beckwith Apostolic Church with Pastor Robert Ayers and Bishop Richard Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Woods Avenue Cemetery, Oak Hill.
