James Allen Lafferty, 25, of Rainelle, WV formerly of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on Sunday May 8, 2022 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. James was born on September 28, 1996 at Raleigh General Hospital. He was the son of Ruth Ann McCoy of Oak Hill and the late Walter Earl Lafferty Jr. James had been employed by WV Great Barrel Factory and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, going to church, and spending quality time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Ruth Ann McCoy Adkins and step father Michael James Adkins; daughters Brayleigh Ann Grace Lafferty and Oaklynn Reign Lafferty; three sisters Kayla Ann Lafferty, Megan Derringer, and Lauren Derringer; two brothers Walter Dale Lafferty and Isaac Derringer and his wife Casey Derringer; biological father Loren Drew Derringer and step-mother Shannon Derringer; grandparents Virginia Ann Lafferty, Genevieve Lehaman, Roxanna and Kim Adkins; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, several cousins and friends.
Friends may gather with the family from 11:30AM to 12:45PM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at High Lawn Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at 1:00PM in High Lawn Memorial Park.
