James “Steve” Jeffries, 63 of Fayetteville, WV, passed away on Saturday April 2, 2022, at home. James was born July 31, 1958, in Fayetteville on Laurel Creek to James Thomas Jeffries and Elsie Hallie Jeffries.
He was a small engine mechanic at Dave’s Radiator for 22 years, who also worked for Cranberry Lumber in Beckley and Duster Trucking in Scarbro, WV. James was of the Baptist faith and loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by Holley and Cristy Jeffries.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Jeffries; son Jason Jeffries and his wife Jennifer; granddaughter Addy Jeffries; brothers Jackie (Christina) Jeffries and Tommy Jeffries; sisters Rose (Darrell) O’Dell and Alice (Bill) Higginbotham; 11 nieces and 6 nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at High Lawn Funeral Home with Rod Browning officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Jeffries, Jackie Jeffries, Jamie Humphrey, Joe Sheiler II, Dustin Jeffries, Justin Jeffries, Joe Sheiler I.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “Steve’s” wife, Linda Jeffries or son, Jason Jeffries.
