Obituary for Erin Marie Allen

Erin Marie (Tonelli) Allen, 38, of Goldsboro, NC passed away peacefully from this life on earth on March 4, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice House in Goldsboro, surrounded by her husband, father, mother, brother and his wife, dear cousin Rachel, and best friend in Jesus, Lauren, after a 3-year battle with breast cancer.
Born April 21, 1984, in Roanoke, VA, daughter of Rick Tonelli and Kathy Glover, she was predeceased by fraternal grand-parents, Okie and Mary Sotak Tonelli of Beckley.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Justin Allen and sons, Weston and Emmett, father Rick Tonelli (Mary Tee) of Mooresville, NC, mother Kathy Glover (Gene) of Oak Hill, brothers Chris Tonelli of Merrillville, IN and Corbin Tonelli (Mallory) and nieces Gianna and Mila of Fayetteville, WV, and maternal grandparents John and Mary Pino of Oak Hill, along with a multitude of family, friends, and classmates across the country who continue to pray for her.
Erin’s childhood home was in Oak Hill, WV where she attended Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic grade school and was active in the parish community, graduated from Oak Hill High School where she was on the soccer team, received a B.A. in English from WVU, and an A.D. in nursing from WCC, and practiced as an RN at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, NC up until her diagnosis.
Family was very important to her along with her WV roots. Her passion in life was the love of Jesus and her handsome sons. She loved long walks with her boys, reading from her Great Adventure Bible, and spending time with her many friends. One of the highlights of her day was being able to take her boys to school while singing their favorite Christian songs. She will be remembered for her gracious generosity toward those less fortunate, and kept prepared bags of basic items to give to the needy in her travels.
Her wishes upon her death are a celebration of life at St. Paul Methodist Church , Goldsboro, NC on March 18, 2023 at 1pm and a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, WV at 11am on April 22, 2023, with interment at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill (private).
