Ella Mae Comer went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at her home in Oak Hill. She was surrounded by her loving husband and a host of family and friends.
She was born in Putnam Co. at Pokey, WV on December 20, 1935.
Ella Mae was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family especially her children and grandchildren. Family reunions were looked forward to every year. Her life was centered around going to church which she attended faithfully for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilford Withrow and Freda Withrow Buckner, daughter Ella Ann Buckner, son Allen Perry, grandson Bobby Perry Jr., granddaughter Michelle Runyon, brothers Earl Withrow, Jimmy Withrow, Rhondes Withrow, Paul Buckner, Ray Buckner; sisters Audrey Hues, Juanita Treadway, Jerri Buckner, Connie Buckner, Dottie McMillion and Gladys Withrow Sears.
She will be lovingly held in memory by her husband Charles Comer, children Bobby Perry, Haymond Perry (Kathy), Freda Runyon (Frank), Jessie Perry, Harry Otis Buckner, Homer Buckner, Lora Persinger (Todd); stepchildren Chuckie Comer (Tina), Patty Kincaid (Mike), Charlene Taylor (Tom), Debbie Hall; brothers Haymond “Jabo” Buckner (Pam), Mark Buckner (Judy); sisters Carmel Campbell, Joyce Edward (Roy), Mary Sue Wolf (Doug), Diana Synder (David), Debbie Buckner, Charlotte Fleming; 37 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 26th at High Lawn Funeral Chapel, 1435 E. Main St., Oak Hill, WV with Pastor Gary Blankenship and Rev. Robert Ayers officiating.
Friends may call beginning at 1 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Brothers from the Teel Apostolic Church will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Pea Ridge Rd. in Oak Hill.
