Obituary for David Athens Bryant

David Athens Bryant, 61, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 after a short yet fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. David joins in Heaven his parents Ballard and Daisy Bryant, his loving husband Michael Behler, his sister Nancy Campbell, and his two nephews Christopher Humphrey and Jason Lambert, Clarence "Little Wayne" Bryant and Amber Bryant.

David is survived by his sister Angela Humphrey and husband Larry Humphrey, sister Alisa Bryant, sister Cathleen Bryant, and brother Wayne Bryant, along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

David was a home healthcare worker at the Central Committee for Aging and a veteran of the United States Air Force with the rank of A1C. His hobbies were diverse and included taking care of his animals - of which he had dozens including chickens, goats, ducks, dogs, cats, and turtles. David’s favorite hobby was volunteering at the Historic Fayette Theater in Fayetteville, West Virginia. For two decades David worked passionately behind the scenes building props, designing costumes, and more. In memory of his passion for the theater, his family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to the theater at the link below.
