Obituary for Bubbie Lee "Bubbles" Smith
Bubbie Lee Smith “Bubbles”, 67, of Oak Hill, WV passed away, Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Bradley, WV. Bubbie was born on December 11, 1954 in Oak Hill, WV to James Zernie and Virgie Kelly Smith.
Bubbie was retired deli clerk at Kroger. Bubbie was a dedicated father, husband, and grandfather. He was a member of Solid Rock Worship Center. He also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard and spending time with friends at the senior center. He loved life, always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. Self-proclaimed “Best-looking man around” being the jokester that he was.
In addition to his parents Bubbie is preceded in death by several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Delores Smith; daughters Tammy (Ray) Moore of Oak Hill and Sandra Smith of Oak Hill; two sons Johnathan Smith of Oak Hill and Joseph Smith of Oak Hill; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and a bonus grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Solid Rock Worship Center new campus, 500 High Lawn Park Ave., Oak Hill, WV with Pastor Greg Hurley and Pastor Ken Souder officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the Solid Rock Worship Center.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Mechling, Demetri Grey, and a team of ushers from Solid Rock Worship Center.
