Obituary for Billie Junior Lawhorn
Billie Junior Lawhorn, 84, of Summerlee, WV, passed away on May 31, 2022, at Bowers Hospice House. Billie was born on August 16, 1937, in Kaymoor, WV to parents William and Beulah Lawhorn
Billie was a carpenter in the Oak Hill area and a United States Army veteran reaching the rank of E-5 and having served in Germany and Maryland. He was also a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents Billie is preceded in death by his wife Marvella Lawhorn; siblings Don, George, Coy Lawhorn, and Edith Ritondo.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children Susan (Gary) Lipscomb, Keith Lawhorn, Matthew (Becky) Lawhorn, Jeffrey (Sherri) Lawhorn; grandchildren Jared (Stephanie) Lipscomb, Travis Lipscomb, Michael Lawhorn, Tucker Lawhorn, Logan Lawhorn, and Lindsey Lawhorn; great grandchildren Tanner Lawhorn, Noah Lawhorn, and Lilly Lawhorn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Winston O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call on the family from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jared Lipscomb, Travis Lipscomb, Michael Lawhorn, Tucker Lawhorn, and Logan Lawhorn.
In lieu of flowers donation may be sent to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
