Obituary for Amanda D Hayhurst
Amanda D. Hayhurst, 43, of Beckley, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. She was born on August 8, 1979, in Beckley to Dusty and Rhonda Hayhurst.
Amanda graduated from Oak Hill High School and received her BS degree from Concord College. She was a Counselor with FMRS Health Systems in Beckley. Amanda was beautiful, smart, giving, hardworking, and kind-hearted and could reach people in a deep and positive way. Most of all, Amanda enjoyed spending time with her family watching movies, playing cards and board games, and planning family gatherings.
Amanda is loved immensely and greatly missed by the love of her life of 23 years, Marc Shepard; daughter, Erin (Derrick) Lewis; son, Ethan Shepard; parents, Dusty and Rhonda Hayhurst; sister, Rachel (Brock) Fitzpatrick; and nephew, Ty Fitzpatrick, as well as many friends and special extended family members, especially Donnie (Rhonda) Shepard; Mike (Rebekah) Shepard and their children, Tyler, Mikayla, Eli, Asa, and Jax; Moriah Shepard and daughter, Amirah, and Alexis Palmer. Also grieving her loss are Amanda’s much-loved fur babies Biscuit, Bandit, Nala, and Trouble.
In honor of Amanda, the family asks donations to be made to the Humane Society of Raleigh County, 325 Grey Flats Road, Beckley, WV 25801.
In keeping with Amanda’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at later date.
