Obituary for Alice "Sue" Toney-McDaniel

Sue Toney-McDaniel was reunited with her husband Whitey, son Rocky, mother (Juanita Toney), special niece Brandy Lynn Toney, and many friends and family in eternal life Monday, November 8.
Sue was named ‘The Best Toney’ by a prominent member of the clan, much to the delight of her brother Hillard. Born at home on Toney Creek 1938, she is survived by 3 brothers (Lum, Red and John), and too many sons, daughters and grandchildren of the heart to name here.
She was a brilliant light in the darkness, and if you knew her, you know you were blessed. If you did not know her, we’re sorry about your luck. In lieu of flowers, donate something of yourself (time, talent, financial resources) to a neighbor, a friend you haven’t made yet, a local community non-profit that is making a difference, or The First Brethren Church, where Sue was a long-time member. Just love everyone around you, and you’ll be amazed at the results! As Sue would say in one of her famous ‘Sue-isms’, YOLO! (you only get to live one time!)
Our family would love to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful neighbors, friends, extended family, and her team of caregivers for all of their support and help over the past few years.
Pallbearers will be representatives of her grandchildren of the heart and include: Brandon Meadows, Ricky Meadows, Aidan Stire, Eli Sparks, Thurston Willis, Gus Willis, and Aaron Bradford.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at High Lawn Funeral Home 1435 Main Street E Oak Hill, WV, followed by interment in High Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12th from 6-8 PM and Saturday, November 13th from 12- 2 PM.
